We finally had a chance to sample dinner instead of the lunch buffet, and my evaluation of this place has just gone up. Way up, I definitely concur with the rest of the reviewers.
Service is always excellent, they really do make you feel like you're an honoured guest stopping by.
All foods freshly made, and on that day, even the that makes me think it was made in-house.Really let's you know what proper cooking could/should be!
For 2 people, it ran under $12 and it was enough for lunch and to feed us for Dinner for night too (granted, under this cold weather, our appetite is not what it usually is). Still, significantly less expensive than any of best places (as good as they are).
If you were ever looking for a hidden gem, this is one of those rare places. Great food for not a lot of money. I would rank this as one of the top 5 places in GVRD, maybe the top 3. For the money, it would have to be the top rank to date.
Definitely recommened.

The pickled chilli and beef is a definite favorite, but be warned - there's a reason why chillis are listed before the beef. Hot! The eggplant is a delicious and milder accompaniment, slightly sweet and seared. Almost everything we've tried so far has been really tasty.

The first time I heard about this place was in a DOV review group on facebook. It was in the category of unknown gems of Vancouver. And this is truly a must try gem. The dishes are yummy and unique. I can't remember the names as they are all in Filipino, but we managed to try their early specials so we got a total of 4 dishes to try. They were quite tasty and we left quite full. The owner was extremely warm & friendly. I think his name is Arthur. The food and service is excellent. The only downside is the constant karaoke - during your meal, there is always someone singing. Luckily Arthur has a beautiful voice. =)
And be prepared to sing if you feel you're in a mood for it! =) A great neighborhood joint for sure!
